About the Corn Festival

The La Habra Corn Festival is hosted by the La Habra Host Lions Club in La Habra California. The event began as little more than a dance and cookout. It has grown to be the largest fund raising and community event in La Habra each year.

Among the groups who take part in the La Habra Corn Festival are: La Habra Kiwanis Club, Sonora High School Football Boosters, La Habra High School Football boosters, the La Habra Community Services Department, Job's Daughters, Sons of Italy, La Habra Firefighters Association, La Habra Police Association, TOPS of Ca., Chino Hills Lions Club, Eric Will Gymnastics Boosters, Boys and Girls Cub of La Habra, Sonora Basketball and many other groups.

The proceeds from the festival for the Lions are used to provide free eye examinations and eyeglasses for needy students in the La Habra School District. The club makes large donations to many charitable groups in La Habra, including the Boys and Girls Club, HBIC, The Gary Center, each of the high school grad night programs, and many of the sports programs in La Habra, such as Pop Warner, Girls Softball ,and the high school sports programs, also.
