HardTack is a local band comprised of Southern California natives, who share a passion for music.
After a lifetime devoted to careers and families, the members of HardTack were brought together by a shared love of blues and blues- inspired rock.
HardTack’s purpose is to provide family, friends and the local community with an enjoyable show and experience.
HardTack is comprised of lead vocalist and lead guitar, local dentist Adrian “Doc” Acosta; Doc’s a long time resident and business owner in La Habra and is very involved in the local community. Also on lead guitar and vocals is Sal Vasquez a lifetime professional musician. On bass, long time La Habra native Rob “The Hammer” Johnson; Rob is an independent contractor who owns a private construction firm. Drummer, Vic “The Enforcer” Dennis, enjoyed a 30-year law enforcement career. Though recently retired, he stays involved as a part-time community college instructor.
HardTack formed in 2012, as each member was pursuing their musical aspirations. When they met, they found that their passions were in perfect alignment. HardTack fans, known as “Tackies,” say that the band, “keeps the party moving,” and “always keeps their toes tappin’.”
